Early Childhood Education
Michigan’s economic recovery depends on our state having a strong workforce – now and in the future. That means we must recognize early care and education as vital infrastructure, supporting both our current and future workforce. For every $1 spent on quality early care and education, we get a $13 return on investment.
Entrepreneurs of Color
The pandemic has hit Michigan’s small businesses hard, especially those owned by entrepreneurs of color. We need to create innovative solutions that provide entrepreneurs of color access to capital, access to technical assistance and connections to networks and other supports specifically designed for them.
Social Determinants of Health
Health disparities in Michigan today account for $2.2 billion in excess medical care costs and $1.9 billion in untapped productivity. To change this, we all need equitable access to quality healthcare and the social determinants of health.
