Nearly 150 interns, summer associates and investment professionals gathered in New York City for the 2025 W.K. Kellogg Foundation Investment Office (KFIO): Next Gen Investor Summer Symposium. These budding leaders represent the future decision-makers in institutional investment, an industry that manages more than $70 trillion of investable assets globally.
The full day symposium was designed to inspire and equip the next generation of investment professionals with the tools, connections and confidence to lead. Attendees had a chance to strengthen their understanding of how they can both deliver outstanding returns and be a force for good.
At this year’s annual event, several takeaways emerged, including the importance of being inquisitive and embracing adaptability in a rapidly changing industry. Leaders across public and private equity, as well as hedge funds, detailed how relationships, technology and purpose are shaping the future of finance.
