In this inspiring mini-documentary, we follow the lives of two interns as they organized a successful youth movement with the Louisiana Center for Children’s Rights (LCCR). Watch as Dante Hills and Shawn Kelly work tirelessly to reform Louisiana’s juvenile criminal justice system by raising the age from 17 to 18 for youth being charged for adult crimes.

If you’re trying to change the narrative and make youth voices powerful, you have to have young people involved.

Young people are the future. Young people are the brains, the heart, the soul behind the Raise the Age movement in Louisiana.

I’ve seen them both grow in so, so many ways. It’s left a stain and mark on them where in their own different unique direction, they want to figure out how to continue this work.
