Icela is a program officer focused on the foundation’s work on racial equity, community engagement, and leadership. She is responsible for serving as a strategic partner to the leaders of the 14 multi-sector community collaborations carrying out the Truth, Racial Healing and Transformation (TRHT) work across the US. She supports community leaders by collaborating on long-term strategy, fielding complex inquiries about best practices in community engagement, co-creating solutions, and connecting the leaders with peers in the field. She is also responsible for oversight for on-the-ground execution of program efforts, screening and recommending grants for funding, maintaining strong relationships with grant seekers and effectively communicating the foundation’s mission, vision, core values and strategy direction to internal and external groups.
